I´m going to talk about Janis Joplin, an american singer of the 27´s generation.
I met her when I was 14 years old because of a friend of my brother and since that time I really love her.
Janis represents the femenine symbol of the counter culture of the 60´s and of the movement hippie.
She began her career in the 60´s playing psychodelic rock with a band called 'Big Brother and the Holding Company' but soon she separated of them for initiate her soloist career whitch she mixed the same kind of music that she was playing before with the soul and blues.
What I like about Janis is her songs, the melodies of his songs and his special a bit hoarse voice, besides everything what inspires me.
One of my favourite songs is 'Trust me' because talks about times and confidence of everything will happen but in defferent paces. It´s about the time we need sometimes for feeling good with a person and that it is not always the same that needs the other.
I don´t remember very well how many albums she done. I think 4 and second of them, 'Kozmic Blues Band' includes 'Trust me' and others 7 songs.
She sang in Woodstock, a festival of 3 days in august 69. Woodstock was a festival of 'Peace and Music'. In there millions of people assisted and were part of a big revolution.
Here´s other of my favourites songs,
I've heard that Janis was in lsd the entire time she was waiting to began her show XD
